21 Technologies That Are Decentralizing The Economy And Bringing Real Power Back To The People

The world is becoming more centralized, increasingly focused on economies of scale and transferring wealth to a tiny elite at the top of the financial system.

Yet, at the same time there is another movement that is actively working to decentralize the world.

The 21 decentralizing technologies and innovations in this list are all related to food, energy, water, shelter and waste and they are not designed to disconnect you from mankind, but rather, they integrate deeply with families, communities, societies, and all humans; in a bottom-up process rather than a centralized top-down structure.

Many of these technologies are open-source, some are high-tech and others are low-tech and low-cost solutions.

This list is far from exhaustive, in fact, the reader will discover that each of the technologies on this list is just the tip of a larger network of innovations. Thanks to the information available on the internet, the prospects of self-reliance has never been more real, and more achievable.

1. Space-Intensive Agriculture

Square Foot Gardening

Planting crops in rows has a long tradition, but the paradigm is being challenged. It has been discovered that by planting in two-dimensional patterns allows for more plant growth in small spaces without crowding the plants. It is a simple concept but has powerful implications. By increasing the effectiveness of growing space: cost, time, water, and labor is decreased while increasing production. All of this is accomplished without chemicals. The best known founder is Mel Bartholomew and his book Square Foot Gardening.

2. Window Farms

Window Farms

A third of the world’s population lives in dense urban environments with no access to soil, yet, inspirational individuals have created window farms. This open source and do-it-yourself movement can add food to your plate and living spaces. The ways to adapt this technology are limitless and there is strong community support behind the project.

3. Vertical High-Rise Farm

High-rise Farm

Getting foods to urban areas is a problem that many are trying to tackle, yet it is a serious issue. Most cities only have food reserves of less than four days. Plantagon is a concept to bring high-intensity farms into the city without a giant eyesore.

4. Polyface Farm

Polyface Farm

This is not a single technology but rather the gathering of many pasture based management practices and new technologies. Polyface Farm, run by Joel Salatin and crew, utilizes high-tech electric fences to mimic the natural grazing habits of animals that are impossible to replicate with full-time animal herders. The fences promote native grass growth and limit weeds. Plus, the cost is affordable compared to traditional barb-wire fences. These animals often get all their nutrition from the pasture, eliminating the need to sell to feedlots.

5. Cold Frames & Hoop Houses

Cold Frames

Cold frames and hoop houses solve the problem of how to grow food in the winter without the expense of a greenhouse. Greenhouse plastic mixed with bootstrapping can yield a solar heated environment that keeps frost-hardy plants healthy even in extreme climates.

6. Warka Water Collector

Warka Water Collector

Water is the essence of life, and that is very true in arid climates. The Warka Water project, aims to utilize a simple net within simple structures to collect water. Not only is the technology easy to use, it can utilize local building supplies and construction skills to collect safe drinking water.

7. Band-Saw Mill

Band-Saw Mill

Band-saw technology has existed for several decades but has become increasingly popular over the past five years. It allows for trees to be turned into quality lumber without a large investment. A single person can operate the mill and the equipment is easy to maintain. Small mills allow for environmental improvement to forests and a source of affordable lumber to those willing to roll up their sleeves and get to work.

8. Tiny Houses

Tiny Houses

Many people are not interested in a large house, a lifelong mortgage and all the hassle associated with it, yet still want modern conveniences. The tiny house movement is a reaction to complicated structures and enormous “McMansions”, and tiny houses generally utilize the newest insulation, windows and small-scale heating to create open, yet efficient houses that are often built on trailers for easy movement.

9. The WikiHouse

WikiHouse

WikiHouse is an open source construction set, and the aim is to allow anyone to design, develop, and ‘print’ CNC-milled houses and components, which can be assembled with minimal formal skill or training.

10. Global Village Construction Set

Global Village Construction Set

The Global Village Construction set is a truly inspiring and unique approach to decentralization for communities. Tools are the foundation to modern construction and Open Source Ecology aims to produce 40 of the most useful tools, such as tractors, and make it possible to construct them in a simple workshop. They include all the open source plans and materials while boasting to be 1/8th less expensive than industrial equivalents.

11. Harvesting Rainwater From Your Roof

Rainwater Harvesting

Thomas Jefferson designed his house at Monticello to be sufficient, starting with the collection of rainwater, diverting the water into cisterns below the ground to irrigate the surrounding food and flower gardens. Monticello was self-sufficient in many regards. New roofing systems are free of toxic materials have become popular and allow for self-sufficient water usage.

12. Solar Water Distiller

Solar Water Distiller

Planet Earth is mostly water, yet, most of it is saltwater and not useable for human consumption. That is why this open-source water distiller was designed. It allows saltwater to be desalinated with only sunlight. The simplicity of this design is what makes it powerful.

13. Solar Hot Water Heater

Solar Hot Water Heater

Water is a great medium of heat transfer and has been used for hundreds of years to power industry. With many advances in solar technology and the simple microchip, water can be heated directly by the sun to create hot water for radiant floor heating or hot water for the shower. No need to pay an electricity company.

14. Solar Panels

Solar Panels

Solar has been around for a while, but it is still powerful and captures the imagination of people across the world. Power from the sun that shines so relentlessly on the surface of the Earth. Although, solar poses challenges to large electric grids (sun does not shine at night) it is great for individuals and decentralized grids.

15. Wind Power

Home Wind Power

Wind power generation is not just for big projects, it is easy to implement for individuals. Small wind turbines are affordable, easy to install and supplement solar, in fact, the two power-sources work well in tandem. When the sun is not shinning, there is a good chance a wind is blowing due to the atmospheric disturbance that is causing clouds to cover the sky. Plus, two power sources are better than one.

16. Mini Nuclear Reactor

Mini Nuclear Reactor

Nuclear gets a bad wrap, because it is dangerous when it explodes. But strip mining for coal is also dangerous. A solution proposed by start-up technologies is to utilize reactors of small size, the smaller the reactor the easier it is to protect in case of problems; unlike the large reactor in Japan. The saying goes, small is beautiful, but small is also safer. Small reactors can power towns and emit no greenhouse gases, plus the size of the reactor limits damage in case of a meltdown. Decentralizing small reactors would be a positive move for a more robust grid and stopping climate change.

17. Bio-Char Stoves

Bio-Char Stove

Around half of the world’s population heats and cooks with wood stoves, and these stoves are crude, producing smoke that damages the lungs of people over-time. Bio-Char Stoves allow people to cook with a hotter, cleaner heat due to an afterburner feature that reuses much of the gasses of a fire. After the fire is finished, a charcoal is leftover that is a perfect soil amendment for fields.

18. Rocket Stoves

Rocket Stove

Fireplaces are nice, but they do not use small diameter pieces of wood to heat an entire house or cook a meal. Rocket stoves allow for a fire to fully combust an entire fuel source and create an impressive amount of heat in the process. By completely consuming the fuel, there is little smoke and rocket stoves can be easily used for cooking.

19. Biogas Generators

Biogas Generator

Biogas can be created in the back yard and produce enough gas to power a stove for cooking. Thanks to simple concepts and open-source technology more people are harnessing natural gas rather than buying propane in tanks. The uses of biogas are endless but creating energy from waste products can help whole communities pull the plug on imports of fuel for home use.

20. Biodigester for Human Waste

Biodigester

We do not often like to think about it, but we humans do produce waste – and that waste can be used for gas. Using a composting toilet system with a biodigester and a gas-collector, human waste can help heat a house and run a hot water heater. By using a resource that is flushed away, that waste can lower payments to energy companies.

21. Composting Worms

Composting Worms

Its always better to have animals do hard work for us, they do not require minimum wage and they work much harder than humans. Worms are no exception. Red worms and vermiculture take care of waste and produce the best soil for plants, without creating a compost bin. Red worm bins can be stored under the kitchen sink and since the worms are so effective there is no smell from the waste you throw away.

What Next?

So that’s it, 21 technologies for decentralization. These are far from the only ones though. Let me know in the comments below if you think some innovation or technology should be on the list!

"All men dream, but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds, wake in the day to find that it was vanity: but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act on their dreams with open eyes, to make them possible."
- T. E. Lawrence (1888 - 1935)

Friday-feast for the birds

Soon we’ll have all the coffee cups hanging in the rowan-berry tree. Something new for today is an old sponge cake form with cocoa fat and bird seed.

The recipe for the bird food for a whole cake form is:

250 grams cocoa fat
9 dl wild birdseed mix

Melt the fat, add bird seeds, pour in the form, insert some sticks for the birds to sit on and let it set.

Any form will work really.

The dark power of words

Words have power. Magical power.

Those who control the meaning of words and can most effectively attach labels to individuals, those people have the power.

Priests have for long had this power over society and they used it well.

Witch!

Heathen!

Blasphemy!

Devil worshipper!

Many people were burned alive at the stake just because one of these words were assigned to them.

But no longer do priests have the power over words.

In this day and age we have to look to the media for that, to the so called “journalists” who see their mission in life to protect and uphold their western democracies when in truth those democracies are mere smoke screens covering up the fact that central bankers rule the world.

So what are the words used today to curse individuals and distort reality for the masses?

Racist!

Conspiracy theorist!

Nazi!

Communist!

Anti-semite!

Patriot!

Anti-government!

Extremist!

Terrorist!

Woman hater!

Assign one of these labels (curses) to a person, and you change peoples perception of that individual.

You instantly reduce a living human being down to a single word.

These curses are so powerful that for a large portion of the masses a cursed person simply ceases to exist. Because they’d rather die than be associated with the assigned label.

That’s propaganda for you.

That’s the power of words.

That’s the reality of today’s journalism (most of it anyway).

In the Age of Divide and Conquer, the media is just another weapon.

Rather than bullets and bombs they fight with words, and polarization is the goal.

But as long as you’re aware of the power of words, you’re immune to the curse.

And when you know how these curses work, it’s easy to recognize the real witches and sorcerers among us.

Old pictures of the homestead

When we went through all the stuff that was left in the barn I found this picture of the farm. Today it hangs proudly on the kitchen wall!

The picture must have been taken some time before 1964, because the house extension is not in the picture.

Another thing you see is that the tractor garage is a more recent addition, and it looks like the porch of the house is not “original” either.

Nyare bild

Here’s a newer picture from 2005. Fun to see what the chicken coop looked like!

Message to the Voting Cattle

What do you think? Is Larken Rose crazy or is the state in reality a violent and immoral institution?

The EU-election is coming up (and later this fall the swedish election), and with that in mind this video by Larken Rose carries an important message for would-be voters.

When you vote, what are you really voting for?

The speech is from the audiobook of the novel “The Iron Web“. And yes, the character is rather harsh in his condemnation of state-worship, but for a reason.

What do you think? Is Larken Rose crazy or is the state in reality a violent and immoral institution?

Do you take Mother Nature for a prostitute?

Isn’t it strange that in our modern society we slave away at work every day for our whole productive lives to buy things for our basic survival that Mother Nature would provide to us for free if we gave her the chance?

Isn’t it strange that in our modern society we slave away at work every day for our whole productive lives to buy things for our basic survival that Mother Nature would provide to us for free if we gave her the chance?

Nature gives of her love freely without asking for anything in return, so why do people carry about their daily lives as if Mother Nature is a whore that needs to be paid for the fruits of her labor?

And why do people think it’s perfectly acceptable that big multinational corporations (often with the help of government policies and subsidies) force farmers off their lands to buy up all the productive farmland, and on one hand act as Mother Nature’s pimp by selling her produce to us and on the other hand rape and pillage and poison and destroy her in front of our eyes? What’s normal or acceptable about that?

This is messed up.

Here’s how Mother Nature can provide for your needs for free, for eternity:

Food

Plant a seed, water it, use good mulch, make sure it gets plenty of sunlight so it grows, harvest it and preserve the food for winter, and save seeds for next spring. Repeat every year as long as you live.

Homes

This requires a bit more foresight and patience.

Are you young and want to help your grandkids live mortgage free? Get some land and plant a bunch of pine trees so that they can use them to build a beautiful log home when they’ve grown up. No life energy expended on a mortgage, or on taxes, or on profits paid to various companies in the house building process. You can help your grandkids avoid lifelong debt slavery by planting some tiny saplings today.

Same goes with furniture and most tools you need to live a comfortable life. Plant trees, watch them grow, cut some of them down, make stuff from them. Repeat for generations.

The land I live in is called Sweden, and 70% of what I earn is confiscated in the form of taxes by a regime based on violence and compulsion, and much of the rest of my earnings disappear as profits paid to big banks in the form of interest.

In the above example of working to buy food; the farmer pays interest to big banks. The distributor pays interest to big banks. The retail store pays interest to big banks. And the consumer pays interest to big banks. All for money the banks have created out of thin air.

Very little of what you earn goes to actually keeping you alive and improving your life, and I’m convinced there’s something very evil and unnatural about this. I’m convinced that the society we live in is rotten to the core. It’s rotten morally, intellectually, and spiritually.

There’s so much potential for humanity to walk down a different and more peaceful and righteous path.

I’ve just started going down this path myself, following the many people that are way ahead of me. The road will likely be bumpy and I might not get the whole way, but as Martin Luther King said I know that we as a people will reach the promised land.

Thoughts on all of this?

What Buddha would tell you about your great ideas

“Ideas are worth nothing unless executed. They are just a multiplier. Execution is worth millions.”

“An idea that is developed and put into action is more important than an idea that exists only as an idea.”

Buddha

The writings below are not my own, but the work of Derek Sivers. I’m reposting it because it has had a positive impact on me and have made me value the importance of proper execution.

Derek:

It’s so funny when I hear people being so protective of ideas. (People who want me to sign an NDA to tell me the simplest idea.)

To me, ideas are worth nothing unless executed. They are just a multiplier. Execution is worth millions.

Explanation:

AWFUL IDEA = -1
WEAK IDEA = 1
SO-SO IDEA = 5
GOOD IDEA = 10
GREAT IDEA = 15
BRILLIANT IDEA = 20
——– ———
NO EXECUTION = $1
WEAK EXECUTION = $1000
SO-SO EXECUTION = $10,000
GOOD EXECUTION = $100,000
GREAT EXECUTION = $1,000,000
BRILLIANT EXECUTION = $10,000,000

To make a business, you need to multiply the two.

The most brilliant idea, with no execution, is worth $20.

The most brilliant idea takes great execution to be worth $20,000,000.

That’s why I don’t want to hear people’s ideas.

I’m not interested until I see their execution.

Return with gladness good for evil done

A poem that Gandhi held dear.

For a bowl of water give a goodly meal;
For a kindly greeting bow thou down with zeal;
For a simple penny pay thou back with gold;
If thy life be rescued, life do not withhold.
Thus the words and actions of the wise regard;
Every little service tenfold they reward.
But the truly noble know all men as one,
And return with gladness good for evil done.

A Gujarati poem that Gandhi held dear, by Shyamlal Bhat.

Abundance is the word of the day.

What if?

What if you, I, and the rest of humanity did not have to expend the vast majority of our life energy just to…

  • …feed ourselves

  • …clench our thirsts

  • …clothe ourselves

  • …put roof over our heads

  • …generate energy for our stuff

  • …stay safe from criminals inside and outside of the state apparatus

Imagine if you and every one in your family only had to spend one or two hours per day to provide for your basic needs.

Where time and Mother Nature together does most of the work for free, in a totally decentralized, resilient, and self-sufficient way.

Where we as individuals have risen above the primitive 9-5 struggle for survival that the current “modern” civilization is built upon.

This is the future I see for humanity.

It’s the next level, and it’s where I’m heading.

And this is not some pipe dream or utopia, because all the knowledge needed to build a life like that is available right now. A few brave individuals are already applying this knowledge and are showing the way.

More on this later, but in the meantime I’d love to hear your answer to this question:

What would you do with all that extra time if money was no object?

I’m not here to tell you things are bad

Everybody knows things are bad.

Everybody’s out of work or scared of losing their job.

Banks are going bust.

Nations are defaulting.

Central banks are printing money as if there’s no tomorrow.

The dollar is on the brink of collapse(as is every other fiat currency).

Thousands of drones are circling over our heads bombing innocent men, women, and children to pieces.

War mongers and murderers are receiving Nobel peace prizes.

People in charge of the United States of America and other nation states are people who despise you and enslave you, who regiment your lives, tell you what to do and what to think and what to feel, who drill you, diet you, treat you like cattle, use you as cannon fodder.

We know things are bad. Worse than bad. They’re crazy.

Yet in the newspapers you read about a “recovery”, about all time highs in the stock market and in commodities, about the latest royal wedding or celebrity adoption, about the “War on Terror” or “War on Drugs”

The real war today is the war on your mind; the War on Consciousness

The truth is…

There is something terribly wrong with the world.

Cruelty and injustice, intolerance and depression, and where once you had the freedom to object, to think and speak as you saw fit, you now have sensors and systems of surveillance coercing your conformity and soliciting your submission…

Now, about everything that’s happening and that is yet to come, you might be thinking “I wish none of this had happened…”

Well so do all who live to see such times, but that is not for them to decide.

All you have to decide is what to do with the time that has been given to you.

No, I’m not here to tell you things are bad…

I’m here to show you what you can do about it.

No, I don’t want you to protest I don’t want you to riot I don’t want you to write to your congressman, because I wouldn’t know what to tell you to write, and they could care less what you think.

I won’t tell you how we’re going to solve the depression, the inflation, the “terrorists” or the crime in the streets.

All I know is you’ve got to put your foot down.

You’ve got to say, “I’m a human being goddamn it! My life has value!”

But if you are happy with where the world is heading, and the crimes and injustice of the United States government and other nation states are unknown to you, then I would suggest that you forget everything you’ve read here and go to bed and believe whatever you want to believe.

On the other hand if you see what I see, if you feel as I feel, and if you would seek as I seek, then I ask you to join me in the creation of a reality without imaginary national borders, without corrupt politicians and fraudulent bankers, and without the artificial limits that has been imposed on your mind by state-run “education” and main stream media.

You have the power

The power to create value.

The power to create happiness.

You have the power to make this life free and beautiful, to make this life a wonderful adventure.

In the name of freedom, I hope you use that power.

Build your new world. A decent world that will give you happiness and the future of old age and security.

By the promise of these things brutes have risen to power, but they lie, they do not fulfill their promise, they never will.

So let’s do away with national barriers, with greed, with hate and intolerance.

Love is all there is, so let’s love and be loved.

There are no terrorists

There are no soldiers.

There are no drone operators.

There are no insurgents.

There are no rebels.

There are no civilians.

There are no police officers.

There are no gang members.

There are no mafia.

There are no congress men.

There are no statists.

There are no socialists.

There are no capitalists.

There are no communists.

There are no democrats.

There are no republicans.

There are no politicians.

There are no Christians or Muslims or Atheists.

These are just labels, and labels are used to divide and conquer your mind and the minds of your fellow human beings.

It’s the world that has been pulled over your eyes to blind you from the truth.

Because the truth is…

There is only individual human action.

And when you strip away all the labels, then it becomes clear what many of these labels are hiding.

When you judge a man not by his labels or fancy clothes or official looking badge but by his actions then it’s easy to cut through the smokescreen of propaganda and indoctrination and see the truth of a man’s character.

Because violence is violence. Hate is hate. Theft is theft. Murder is murder. Evil is evil.

So next time you think about voting in a democratic election, see beyond the labels and think one more time about what you’re really voting for at the core.

The world has been pulled over your eyes to blind you from the Truth

If you haven’t seen The Matrix then you need to stop what you’re doing and go watch it right now. If you’ve seen it, maybe it’s time to watch it again?

Because this movie will give you a glimpse of the Truth;

  • That you are a slave under a system that feeds on your life energy
  • That you have unlimited potential within you, and only your self-imposed limitations and perceptions can stop you from realizing this potential
  • That there’s more to reality than meets the eye
  • And that it is possible to wake up from this dream world and break free

The Matrix as a system of control is very real, and I’m not talking about the movie here. It’s real, and this system has power over…

your government by controlling the money that controls the economy.

your world view by controlling the government that controls the educational system that dumbs children down

your mind and spirit by controlling the media and entertainment industries that controls what you watch, listen to, and read

your body and health by controlling the agricultural and pharmaceutical industries that controls what ends up in your body

The question is not if the Matrix exists, or what it is, or even who the owners are. Follow the money to the top of the financial pyramid and you will find the real owners.

To break free, the question we all need to ask ourselves is…

How do I stop feeding the system with my life energy?

As Mahatma Gandhi said in Hind Swaraj:

Many problems can be solved by remembering that money is their God.

In the western civilization, money is the main object of worship. It is from controlling the money supply that the real owners derive their power, and their state-granted ability to conjure money out of thin air is the only thing keeping their pyramid and the nation state from crumbling.

So don’t feed the system with your money or life energy.

  • Instead of buying into the materialistic and consumerist way of life where you must upgrade to the newest gadgets or fanciest clothes every year, reduce, reuse, and recycle. Use your phone for however long time frame the industrial designers planned for your gadget to last. Buy used, and if you do buy something new, buy the best quality stuff that will last for years or even lifetimes.
  • Instead of buying the processed and cancerous food sold in supermarkets and giving your money to global food conglomerates and Monsanto, grow your own vegetables. Get to know the local farmer. Join a growing co-op. Start a community garden. Take control over your food supply.
  • Instead of drinking Coca-Cola and thus sponsoring their globalist agenda, drink water, or why not get together with a couple of friends (in your local makerspace if you have one) and make your own Open Cola.
  • Instead of taking on an enormous mortgage for a sub-urban house or urban apartment and sentencing yourself to being a debt slave for the rest of your life, consider living smaller, simpler, and more rural. Or who knows, maybe you’d love living in a tiny house on wheels.
  • Instead of climbing the corporate ladder for 40+ years hoping to retire at 65, set your life up so that you (1) will never want to retire, and (2) don’t need a retirement income to survive and thrive in your old years. Because if you’re in your twenties or thirties today then trust me, that retirement income you’re hoping to get from the state in ~40 years, it’s not going to be there.

People are waking up to this truth

They’re realizing that a world has been pulled over their eyes to blind them from the Truth, and more importantly they’re realizing that they are free to create a new world, a better world.

Changing the world all starts with you changing your own life. To quote Gandhi again, “one drowning man will never save another.” You need to save yourself first.

Because by changing your own life you will light up a path for humanity, and people will follow.

How to feel reborn

Go outside and find a patch of grass, dirt, or rock.

Now stand with your bare feet and look around you.

Look at the trees; the birds; the buildings; the people; all the way to the horizon.

But don’t just look, feel them.

Now how do you feel a building?

By keeping it in your conscious awareness even when you’ve got your back turned against it. Even though you don’t see something with your physical eyes, it’s as if you can still consciously feel its presence.

Try it right now with something behind you.

Can you feel it?

Okay, now expand your awareness and feel beyond the horizon.

Feel beyond the city.

Feel beyond the imaginary borders of the nation state.

Feel beyond the continent.

Feel beyond the ocean.

Feel beyond…until you see tiny Earth floating there in space.

Now feel the whole Earth.

Feel the lions stalking the plains of Africa.

Feel the moose roaming the silent wilderness of Alaska.

Feel the penguins huddling together in the frozen wastelands of Antarctica.

Feel the gigantic whales moving deep down in the ocean.

Feel humanity. The living, laughing, loving, hating, crying, and dying men, women, and children all over the world.

And finally…

Feel the whole round Earth beneath your feet

Wherever you are on Earth, you are literally standing on top of the world.

So when you move, feel the world move with you.

And when you breathe, feel the world breathe with you.

And when you create, feel the new world that you are creating in that very moment.

That moment when your awareness encompasses the globe and beyond, when you breathe with the world, then you feel reborn, as if opening your eyes and being truly awake for the first time. It’s an amazing feeling.

So open your eyes, rise and shine, and join me in the morning sun.

It’s awesome here.

When your life feels dry, look up in the sky…

…and remember this:

Planet Earth is a tiny round ball made out of dirt, rock, and molten stone, that is hovering in the middle of empty space, among billions of stars in billions of galaxies.

Yet here you are, a living, breathing, intelligent being, carrying on your life under a blue sky, among green forests and beside vast oceans, lakes, and streams.

Isn’t that amazing?

As I write this I feel the sun’s warmth in my face. I see the trees move in the wind. I feel my heart beat and the blood pump in my veins. I feel the breath going in and out of my lungs. I feel at peace, and above all I feel amazed.

Sometimes I get this great urge to scream it out loud at the top of my lungs, because life IS amazing!

As Apollo 14 astronaut Edgar Mitchell said on April 8, 1974, about looking back on Earth from outer space:

You develop an instant global consciousness, a people orientation, an intense dissatisfaction with the state of the world, and a compulsion to do something about it. From out there on the moon, international politics look so petty. You want to grab a politician by the scruff of the neck and drag him a quarter of a million miles out and say, “Look at that, you son of a bitch.”

It’s so easy to get carried away in your daily life, to have your consciousness shrink into the small computer screen in front of you, that you forget the vastness of the universe and the wonder of life. But there’s an instant fix for that.

Look up in the sky.

Do you see the Sun?

That’s not just a small shining circle in the sky. That’s an enormous star over one million times the volume of Earth hovering tens of millions of miles away, that just happens to be at the right distance to enable animals to thrive and plants to grow with its life-giving warmth and light.

If you don’t see the Sun, then do you see the Moon?

There are human footprints on that moon.

And the only reason you can see the Moon in the first place is because the Sun is lighting it up like a gigantic Bat-Signal urging you to wake up to the wonder of life.

If you’ve got a good eye and know where to look you can even see Mars, and as long as humanity does not destroy itself first, we will eventually colonize that planet.

Future descendants of humanity, maybe your descendents, who some day will feel bored with life, will look up in the sky through their bionic contact lenses, back on Earth, and remember how exciting life is.

The question for the present is…

Do you remember?

The kingdom of God is within you

– Jesus (Luke 17:21)

Is there any other truth more powerful than that?

It can’t be, because as sages, saints, and other wise men throughout the ages have said there is only one ultimate Truth; that we are all one.

I remind myself of this truth as often as possible, especially whenever I start doubting myself, not only about the Kingdom of God within me, but also that I am God.

We are all God.

Because inside of me, and inside of you, is a godlike potential.

  • Inside of you is the limitless creative potential to create your own present reality, and thus change the realities of others.
  • Inside of you is the everlasting potential to instantly find peace amongst whatever chaos is thrown upon you.
  • Inside of you is the potential to love unconditionally, yourself and others.
  • And inside of you is the potential to create life.

Is that not godlike?

And it all comes down to how you use your mind.

“With our thoughts, we make the world.” – Buddha

“We are what our thoughts have made us; so take care about what you think. Words are secondary. Thoughts live; they travel far.” – Swami Vivekananda

“The happiness of your life depends upon the quality of your thoughts: therefore, guard accordingly, and take care that you entertain no notions unsuitable to virtue and reasonable nature.” – Marcus Aurelius

If you think I’m crazy for saying that I am God, remember that “God” is just a label for something that words can never truly express. The word “God” will have a different meaning for every single individual on the face of the earth, heck people kill each other over that word. The label is not important.

“Though we may know Him by a thousand names, He is one and the same to us all.” – Mahatma Gandhi

Just as I tell myself that I am God, I tell myself that I am Love. It has the same meaning for me, because God is Love. God is Truth. God is you and me, the birds in the sky, and the fish in the sea.

We are all One, but 99.9999% of humanity have forgotten this truth, because they are stuck in a vortex of racial wars, violent politics, stupefying education, hate, and above all fear.

Have you forgotten that you are God?

If so, here’s a reminder:

You are God, and you have unlimited potential to create your own reality in whatever image you choose.

So Love! Create!

Now!

“Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma — which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.” – Steve Jobs

Either you create your reality in your own image, or you will end up in an image of someone elses making. It’s up to you.

The world is blind

“If a blind man leads a blind man, both of them will fall into a hole.”

You don’t have to be a Christian or even religious to appreciate the wisdom in the words of Jesus.

If he lived today and somebody asked him why the world is the way it is with all its problems then maybe he’d reiterate what he said long ago:

“If a blind man leads a blind man, both of them will fall into a hole.”

Because the world is blind.

Blind bankers control the money that controls blind politicians that in turn takes advice from blind economists. The politicians are voted into office by blind voters, that are force fed propaganda by the blind media and spends most of their free time watching blind movies, listening to blind music, reading blind books, and sends their kids to school to be educated by blind teachers.

Is it so strange that the world is the way it is?

The fall into the hole of blindness has been going on for a long time, but don’t think we’ve reached the bottom yet. The large majority does not even know we’re in a free fall.

For it to be even possible to slow down the free fall then it’s a prerequisite that you’re aware that you’re falling. That’s why I find insitutions such as the Ludwig von Mises-institutet to be so important for their role in shining a light on the immorality and corruption of the state and the financial system.

You also matter. What are you doing to open peoples eyes?

This is the future of decentralized backyard food production

In this previous post I mentioned that in the future every individual will once again be closely involved in their food production, and that self-sufficiency from the violent system of parasitic politicians, international bankers, and monopolistic global corporations is the key to bring forth the Age of Truth.

In the video below Geoff Lawton is visiting a guy that has what looks like a tiny suburban backyard with only 60 square meters (640 square feet) of garden space, but in his permaculture garden you will still find 80 medicinal plants, 30 fruit trees, 22 varieties of berries, vertical growing spaces, and yields of 70 kg of vegetables and 161 kg of fruit.

How many families are sitting with 60 square meters of empty lawn in suburban America? Or in any so called “developed” country for that matter? Some people spend hundreds and even thousands of dollars every year to keep their lawn green and sterile, when they could spend that money to build a real asset that would pay dividends for years to come and increase the value of their home immensely.

There’s a business opportunity here. The millions of empty lawns out there are just waiting to be turned into productive food gardens. Who will provide the knowledge? Who will do the heavy lifting? Who will maintain the gardens? Who will market and sell the excess produce?

What you see in this video, that’s real wealth. Not gold. Not fiat dollars. Not a fancy car. Not a big house.

A productive garden, now that’s something to strive for.

If decentralization is the answer, then what is the question?

How about:

How can the problems of violence, war, corruption, environmental destruction, unemployment, taxation, starvation, hate, and most other big issues that humanity is facing today be solved once and for all, and at the same time give way for a more resilient and loving world?

Non-violent decentralization is the answer. Yes, it is the antidote against all the poisons created by statist politicians with their monopolies of force, and by international bankers with their conjuring of money out of thin air, in the eternal scheming for more central planning.

Aldous Huxley warned us a long time ago about where we were heading, and what the solution was:

Only a large-scale popular movement toward decentralization and self-help can arrest the present tendency toward statism. A really efficient totalitarian state would be one in which the all-powerful executive of political bosses and their army of managers control a population of slaves who do not have to be coerced, because they love their servitude. To make them love it is the task assigned, in present-day totalitarian states, to ministries of propaganda, newspaper editors and schoolteachers.”

Many totalitarian socialist states in the western world, for example in the US (and in Sweden to an even greater degree), have successfully made their subjects love their servitude. This should not come as a suprise after decades and decades of state-run schooling, because after all that has always been the goal with “public education”.

Gandhi, one of my great mentors, also saw decentralization and a society based on voluntary exchange as the solution against statism and corruption, and he explained this vision in 1946 in a letter to Leo Tolstoy:

Independence begins at the bottom… A society must be built in which every village has to be self sustained and capable of managing its own affairs… It will be trained and prepared to perish in the attempt to defend itself against any onslaught from without… This does not exclude dependence on and willing help from neighbours or from the world. It will be a free and voluntary play of mutual forces… In this structure composed of innumerable villages, there will be ever widening, never ascending circles. Growth will not be a pyramid with the apex sustained by the bottom. But it will be an oceanic circle whose center will be the individual. Therefore the outermost circumference will not wield power to crush the inner circle but will give strength to all within and derive its own strength from it.”

Decentralization, which on the level of the individual is better described as self-sufficiency, is the answer.

But this solution will never be proposed by the people at the top of the pyramid, i.e. the politicians, the CEO’s of monopolistic global corporations, or the international bankers.

Because just as surely as cow dung attract flies, centralization of power always attracts morally corrupt men, and morally corrupt men always want more power.

A decentralized world can only, and will only, be brought into being by the people at the bottom of the pyramid, by individuals such as you and me. Decentralization, which comes from the bottom, inevitably undermines centralization, which comes from the top, and that’s what is needed.

In the coming age of decentralization no one will be able to wield monopolistic control over the production and distribution of food, water, energy, security, knowledge, etc., because the monopolies of violence required to support such political ventures will not survive in the decentralized world.

Instead every individual will be a producer.

  • Everyone will be closely involved in their own food and water production, because they see the benefits, they can taste the benefits, and they also understand the risk of not being involved.
  • The vast majority will generate their own energy, whether it’s small scale solar panels or co-owning a larger wind turbine with their neighbors.
  • Specialized and high quality education will abound in the age of decentralization, but still many parents will choose to educate their kids at home, either formally through home schooling, or informally by letting them learn by living.
  • A lot more people will own and carry guns for personal safety, and of course in countries where the population today to a large degree has been disarmed by the state we will see a drastic change.
  • We will see a big comeback of natural medicine in the coming decades as a reaction against the chemical cocktails manufactured by global pharmaceutical companies under state-granted monopolies. More people will have their own medicinal herb garden in the backyard, and some of the common herbs you’ll find are St John’s wort, echinacea, chamomile, garlic, and above all cannabis.

Monsanto will be a thing of the past. State-run “education” will be a thing of the past. Wars, against people and against drugs, will be a thing of the past. Nation states will be a thing of the past. Politicians will be a thing of the past. Taxes will be a thing of the past.

But where do you start with becoming self-sufficient? Should you start a garden? Put solar cells on the roof? Homeschool your kids? Buy a gun?

No. If you haven’t already done so, start by withdrawing your consent, intellectually, to the existing centralized power structures that are all based on violence.

See the political and banking pyramid of power for what it is; fraudulent, sociopathic, hateful, criminal, terroristic, murderous.

Because once you see past the illusions and smoke screens, once you see the truth, it becomes clear that undermining the current power structures is not only justified, it becomes a moral obligation for any righteous man who loves all living things.

The pyramid of power derives its power from the consent of the governed, which is why the people at the top are so keen at making you love your servitude, and even keener at indoctrinating your children. This is why withdrawing your consent is the first step on the path to liberation.

First change your thoughts, because then the physical actions that changes reality will follow. More on that to come.
